As one interested in humanitarian service, Augustine Udefa, the founder of the Augustine Udefa Foundation, has been in the spotlight contributing to education and healthy living.
In 2017, Augustine carried out selfless service to a community in Nigeria during his national youth service. He donated four hundred long-lasting insecticidal mosquito nets to boarding student in Government College, Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. This was in a bid to help the students prevent malaria infection as malaria was prevalent in the community at the time
In addition, Augustine donated twenty desks to Government Secondary School, Ombi 1, Lafia, another school in the community. Augustine’s donation to the school was timely as some of the classrooms had insufficient desks for the students to sit and learn comfortably.
Augustine also donated five suggestions/complaints boxes to Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia, also in Nasarawa State.
Augustine is a lover of education and finds it fulfilling when students excel academically. In 2020, he did part-time teaching in St. George Sure Foundation Academy, a secondary school located in Calabar, Nigeria, where he taught the students mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
He initiated the organization of award ceremonies and presented academic prizes to the best students in the subjects he taught, inspiring excellence and motivating students to reach their full potential.
