Augustine Udefa Orphan Scholarship
The Augustine Udefa Orphan Scholarship is awarded to people who have lost both parents and do not have any sponsor to support their education. Successful applicants are those who, without the scholarship, would be unable to acquire an education. This scholarship is awarded to applicants in both secondary and tertiary institutions in Africa.
Eligibility
- You have lost both of your parents and do not have any sponsor.
- You have successfully gained admission into or are in a public tertiary institution in Africa if you intend to acquire tertiary education.
- You are in a public secondary school in good academic standing and can no longer continue your education because of the demise of your parents.
Scholarship Value
- Full school fee throughout your program.
Application Requirements
- Admission letter
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal statement (500–1000 words), explaining your situation.
- Academic report from your school, showing your grades and other necessary information.
- Three letters of recommendation, confirming that you have lost both of your parents and can no longer continue your education. Two should come from religious leaders and one from your teacher.
- An attestation letter from your head of department or school authority, confirming that you have been admitted into or are currently enrolled in your school.
Renewal of the Scholarship
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale or 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Submit a letter from your head of department or institution, confirming your CGPA and ability to complete your studies in due time.
- Submit two attestation letters from two academic referees, attesting to your good moral conduct.
Termination of Scholarship
- You do not meet the minimum CGPA requirement for renewal.
- You are rusticated from your institution because of misconduct of any form.
- You are seen making or sharing posts on social media that promote nudity and sexual immorality.
